my aunt gave me and my brother $75 each for christmas this year. usually, she puts it on target gift cards for us, but she didn’t have time to go to target, so we got it in cash. i didn’t think it was a problem. but damn. it really was.

with the $75, here’s what i’ve bought so far, in no particular order. readyyy?

1.a. i paid for my driving class/pre-licensing course. a class i HAVE to take before i take my road test. figured i’d paid for it instead of begging my parents for even more dough. a very good investment, i think. (that was $30. my balance is now $45. not bad, i guess.)

1.b. when i went on my break in the middle of the driving class, i went to wendy’s for lunch. ($5 to fill my belly. now i have $40. still okay. kinda. ehh…)

2. i went to the movies twice before the new year. once with the whole fam (the day the earth stood still = it was aight) and once with just my brothers (the tale of despereaux = it was aight). i bought the popcorn combos both times. and a bag of skittles. which sucks for me. everyone ate the popcorn, and i was left broke while my brothers got to hold on to their christmas money even longer. (grrrrrr…) but my parents usually pay for everything when we go to the movies, so it was the least i could do. right? right? (both popcorn combos were about $12, and the skittles were about $5. yea. 5 frikkin dollars. the total for that junk is approximately $29. i have $11 left. frak.)

3. my brothers and i ordered a pizza one day when we were home all day. we all pitched in exactly $6. very fair. and the pizza was very gooood. (out of the $11, i now have…… oh yeah, only $5!!! frak times infinity.)

so, my cash is pretty much gone. well, not really. i had a little money before christmas, and my parents gave me money for christmas, too, which i’m desperately hanging on to. so i’m not completely broke. yet. i’m just annoyed that not even two whole weeks after christmas, over half of my christmas money is gone. grrr. and i still wanna set aside at least $40 for a couple of other things, one of them being my linkin park underground 8 membership renewal… i HAVE to get it. it’s the exclusive fan club for frikkin linkin park! (*cue the screams of excitement*)
